Find common dates for a group trip — free, no login
WeGoWhen is a free web app that finds the days a whole group can travel. Share one link, everyone taps the days they are free, and it ranks the stretches of consecutive days that fit the most people. Nobody signs in — the organiser included — and nobody gives an email address.
How to find common dates for a trip, in four steps
- Set one outer window. The earliest anyone could leave and the latest anyone could be back — "any time from June to September". Not a list of options: the point is to let the answer come out of the group.
- Send the link to the group chat. WhatsApp, iMessage, email — anything that carries a link. There is nothing to install and no form to fill in beyond a name.
- Everyone taps or drags across the days they are free. Whole days only; there is no time-of-day grid to set to midnight-to-midnight.
- Read the top row. WeGoWhen works out every run of consecutive days some group can all make, and ranks those runs by how many people they include, then by length: "6 of 6 free, Fri 12 – Mon 15". Filter people out to see what opens up if one of them cannot come.
Why a meeting poll gets a multi-day trip wrong
Most tools that come up for this were built to find an hour. When2meet asks for a time-of-day range before anything else and shades a grid of slots; Doodle and Rallly ask you to propose options and count the votes. A trip needs neither: it needs the longest stretch of days that the most people can make from start to finish, and a tally per day does not contain that answer. You still have to scan a month of columns and work it out — which is the part people get wrong.
That is the one thing WeGoWhen does. Up to 200 people per trip, a window of up to a year, and the ranking is computed rather than eyeballed.
Free tools that find common dates without a login
Several tools now do some version of this. What each one asks people to mark, what it gives back, and what it asks of you:
| Tool | People mark | You get back | Account | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| WeGoWhen | Whole days free, inside one outer window | Ranked runs of consecutive days, with who can make each | None, for anyone. No email either | Free, no paid tier |
| Voyagier Trip Scheduler | Days as available, maybe or unavailable | Top date windows ranked by overlap | None; the organiser verifies by email | Free |
| WhosFreeWhen | All day, half day or hour slots | Colour-coded calendar; best consecutive windows in Insights | None | Free, with one-time Pro and Teams upgrades |
| Groop | Dates free | Days everyone can make turn green | None | Free |
| When2meet | Time slots on a dates × hours grid | Shaded grid you read yourself | None | Free |
| Rallly | Yes / if need be / no on options you propose | Votes per option | None to create or answer | Free, with a paid Pro plan |
| Doodle | Votes on options you propose | Tally per option | Organiser signs up; answering is free | Free plan of one group poll; paid from USD 11 per seat |
Each row was read off that tool's own site on 2 October 2026; Doodle's pricing from doodle.com/en/premium on 28 August 2026.
If you need an hour rather than a stretch of days — a call, a dinner — When2meet, Rallly or Doodle is the right tool and WeGoWhen is not. It cannot schedule a meeting.
Questions people ask
Is there an app to find common dates for a trip without logging in?
Yes. WeGoWhen runs in the browser, needs no login, account or email from the organiser or from anyone invited, and is free with no paid tier. Create a trip, share the link, and everyone taps the days they are free; it ranks the consecutive date ranges the most people can make.
Does it work for a multi-day trip, not just one day?
That is what it is for. The unit is a whole day and the output is a run of consecutive days — a long weekend, a week, ten days — never a single date or an hour. Set a minimum number of days and it only shows stretches at least that long.
How do you find a date everyone is available?
Ask for availability, not votes: give everyone one window and let each person mark every day they are free in it, then look for the days where all of them overlap. For a trip, look for runs of consecutive overlapping days. WeGoWhen does that search and ranks the results, so nobody has to read a grid.
What is a good free app for planning group trip dates?
For the dates alone, a tool that asks for days rather than hours: WeGoWhen, Voyagier Trip Scheduler, WhosFreeWhen and Groop all work without accounts. WeGoWhen is the one that asks nothing of anyone — no sign-in, no email, no paid tier — and returns ranked stretches of consecutive days rather than a calendar to read.
Do my friends need to download anything?
No. The link opens in any phone or desktop browser. They type a name, tap their days and save; there is no app, no account and no email address.
